[Update:] By the way, the reason I go for gender-inclusive translations is because if the Word of God clearly and unequivocally intends men and women, then why not say so? (Consider Romans 12:1, for instance. Surely, Paul did not intend for males only to present their bodies as living and holy sacrifices!).

The NLT is a refreshing read and the NRSV is fine as well. At the end of the day, however, most translations are useful. I just learned of one other in the making
