A great mind.
A great man.
A gracious soul.
A generous spirit.
A courageous character.
A champion of the Gospel.
A cheerleader for God’s kingdom here on earth.
A best friend to offender and victim alike.
When Colson spoke or wrote I was thoroughly engaged by his riveting intellect and indefatigable passion for God’s Gospel and the difference it makes in every life. Chuck showed the whole world that the power of the Gospel is real. No one with half an empirical wit could deny the change wrought by God in Colson’s life after he emerged from prison from his involvement in the Watergate scandal. I will miss his influence as will countless others. May God rest his soul as he enters the company of heaven’s presence and may peace be with his family during this loss of theirs and ours.
