As pandemic restrictions continue, members of the Society of Christian Philosophers were asked a few months ago to provide suggestions on ways to bring their content to a wider audience. In addition to their first-rate journal Faith & Philosophy, I suggested they consider adding a YouTube channel to reach a broader audience. Now this resource is available so do check out their YouTube channel and give a thumbs up and subscribe.
The first offering is from Brandon Warmke discussing divine forgiveness. Warmke teaches philosophy at Bowling Green State University and has written several papers on forgiveness. Listen in as he unpacks a framework in which to think about divine forgiveness and some important considerations.
Readers of this blog know that I’ve written a bit on forgiveness, with my most complete offering here. While I think Warmke’s approach is very helpful, I would opt for slightly more of an integrative approach with some nuanced insights from Stump and Volf.
